The Big Kids

Ever since I was little, I was always told that I'm very mature for my current age. Hearing this over and over, it went straight to my head. I strutted around feeling a good decade older than what I was. However, this is not restricted to just my childhood. This weekend my mother's friends came over for a couple cocktails and to chat. Knowing that I'm very mature, I decided to put my skills to the test.

I learned that I can communicate very well with older people. Sharing many things in common with my mother's friends, we held pretty decent conversations. Chatting anywhere from their exboyfriends, to writing, to food, to life stories. Me being me, and the amazing me that I am, knew that I couldn't possibly contribute to the hilarious anecdotes of past times. So I merely told my recent stories of life lessons.

This proved to be quite a success. With each laugh and giggle and retort, this encouraged me to tell more and more. It turns out that I am very mature for my age and that I can play with the big kids. I actually restarted blogging because one of them. She has inspired me to blog again. And because of her, you get to read about my amazing life you wish you had, so thank her.... But above all thank me :)
